Stewardship Week
April 28- May 5, 2024
Stewardship Week was established in 1955 by the National Association of Conservation Districts (NACD) to bring attention to the stewardship of our country's natural resources. It is celebrated each year from the last Sunday in April to the first Sunday in May.
Conservation Districts host field days, workshops, and other events to demonstrate the benefits of conservation and encourage the responsible use of resources.
Outreach materials and suggestions for activities to celebrate Stewardship Week may be found on NACD's website or on GACD’s lesson plans page. The annual NACD Poster and Photo Contest can also be conducted in conjunction with Stewardship Week.
