The Stephens County SWCD will host a field trip for senior citizens on September 19th from 10-11:30 a.m. at Toccoa Creek (the section located on the Toccoa Falls College campus) 107 Kincaid Drive, Toccoa Falls, GA 30598. They are partnering with the Soque River Watershed Association to teach about stream health and macroinvertebrates. There will be a hands-on learning activity as well to teach how to identify macroinvertebrates. Topics of interest include: water quality, environmental stressors, hands-on macro invertebrate identification activity, stream health indicators.
